Water Service Corporation of Kentucky will be conducting routine maintenance and flushing within the local water system on Sept. 19-20.

The work will begin at 6 p.m. and end at approximately midnight each day, according to a release from WSCK. During this flushing process, there may be periods of lower than normal water pressure or possible cloudy water during this time period each day.

WSCK asks that customers refrain from using water as much as possible during this time to reduce the possibility of drawing clouding or discolored water into the service lines. Once the flushing is completed, normal water quality and pressure will be restored to homes.

“Should you experience any water quality issues following this work, we would ask that you please try flushing your cold water line for approximately 2-3 minutes,” the release states. “If this does not improve the quality, please contact us (WSCK) immediately.”

“We apologize for any inconvenience you may experience while we work to provide you with the best possible water quality and service,” states the release.
