Woman jailed for child endangerment

A Middlesboro woman was arrested on two counts of endangering the welfare of minors on Sept. 30, among other charges.

Tammy Rust, 35, was arrested by Middlesboro City Police Department Officer Michael Bradley and lodged in the Bell County Detention Center.

According the official citation, officers were dispatched to a residence where children were present while drug were present and being used. Upon arrival and contact, investigation revealed 48 cut plastic straws, 70 small plastic bags which nearly all contained a clear crystal substance believed to be crystal methamphetamine.

The citation also states that two glass pipes containing white and brown and black substances believed to be crystal meth and other paraphernalia all within reaching distance of the children at the residence.

Rust was arrested on charges of first-degree possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia, two counts of endangering the welfare of a minor, possession of a legend drug and was served three bench warrants.

•Donnie Mills, 34, of Bimble, was arrested on Sept. 28 by Middlesboro Police Department Officer Jeremiah Johnson on charges of first-degree possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia, public intoxication of a controlled substance and fourth-degree assault.

•Jimmy Rogers, 33, of Middlesboro, was arrested on Sept. 29 by Johnson on charges of first-degree possession of a controlled substance, public intoxication, drinking an alcoholic beverage in public, tampering with physical evidence and was served three warrants.

•Crystal Miracle, 37, of Middlesboro, was arrested on Sept. 30 by Bradley on a charge of first-degree possession of a controlled substance.

•Elijah Pierce, 34, of Speedwell, Tennessee, was arrested on Oct. 1 by Pineville Police Department Officer Justin Taylor on charges of theft of identity of another without consent and was served two bench warrants.

•Brian Wilson, 44, of Middlesboro, was arrested on Oct. 1 by MPD Officer Edward Dray on a charge of theft of identity of another without consent.

•Stephen Melton, 36, of Middlesboro, was arrested on Oct. 1 by the MPD on a charge of first-degree possession of a controlled substance.

•Kayla King, 25, of Middlesboro, was arrested on Oct. 1 by Dray on charges of first-degree possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.

•Ina Carnes, 66, of Pineville was arrested on Oct. 1 by Pineville Police Department Officer Patrick Brooks on charges of first-degree possession of a controlled substance, illegal possession of a legend drug, operating a motor vehicle under the influence and reckless driving.

•Heather Collett, 40, of Pineville, was arrested on Oct. 1 by MPD Lt. Tom Busic on charges of first-degree possession of a controlled substance, theft by unlawful taking of $500 or more but under $10,000, possession of a marijuana and second-degree fleeing/evading the police on foot.
