MIddlesboro split two games over the weekend in the BSN Borderline Classic at Whitley County High School and the University of the Cumberlands.
The Jackets edged Nicholas County 64-62 on Friday and fell 89-52 to Marion County on Saturday.
Four Jackets reached double figures in the win over Nicholas, led by 16 points each from junior guards Joseph Killion and Aiden Larew. Mekhi Young and Jacob Tinnell added 14 and 13 points, respectively.
The 5-2 Blue Jackets were led by junior guard Braxton Martin with 24 points. Preston Blake and Maddox Donovan added 17 and 16 points, respectively.
Middlesboro (3-7) will playa at Jackson County on Thursday in the play-in game for the 13th Region All “A” Classic.
