Dr. Rebecca Johnson accepted the Outstanding Contribution Award on behalf of Southeast Kentucky Community & Technical College. Other nominees included: SEKRI, Smithfield, Middlesboro Coca-Cola Bottling Works, Elevation and JR Hoe & Sons.
Marie Burnett accepted the Community Development Award on behlaf of the Middlesboro Housing Authority. Others nominated included the Middlesboro Nursing & Rehab Facility, Pineville Community Health Center, Partners for Rural Impact, Pinnacle of Purpose and SEKRI.
Dr. Jake Barton of Barton Esthetic and Family Dentistry accepts the Young Entrepreneur Award. Others nominated include: Brooke Ball of AB Esthetics, Dr. Audrey Kinder of Kinder Family and Cosmetic Dentistry, Jessie Moberg of Moberg Law Office, and Jarrod Nunnelley of AL's Fun Center.
Corey Eldridge of Middlesboro ARH accepts the Leadership Award. Others nominated include: Janet Jackson, Joanna Foley, Rita Edmondson, Kyle Nelson and Scott Madon.
The Volunteer of the Year Award went to the Middlesboro Police Department's Cops 4 Kids program. Others nominated included ROHO, Pineville Interact and Rotary Club, Middlesboro Ladies Golf Association, Friends of the Bell County Animal Shelter and Tate's TNR & Rescue.
Dr. Tony Maxwell of the Middlesboro Independent School System accepts the Excellence in Education Award. Others nominated include: Dr. Chris Stotts of LMU, Jennifer Yankey of Partners for Rural Impact, Micheline Carey of Bell County High School, Dr. Rebecca Johnson of SKCTC and Barbara Warren of Yellow Creek School Center.
Trampas Nolan, APRN from Southeast Family Practice, accepts the Businessman of the Year Award. Others nominated include: Bo Green from Green Construction, Kevin Bisceglia from Coldwell Banker Bisceglia Realty, David Whitlock from Edward Jones, Michael Long from Long’s Pic Pac and Steven Sharp from Smithfield Foods.
Dr. Audrey Kinder of Kinder Family & Cosmetic Dentistry accepts the Businesswoman of the Year Award. Others nominated include: Dr. Kim Taylor of Beacon of Light Family Chiropractic, Rebecca Akers of ARH Womens & Family Health Center, Rebecca Hensley of Community Trust Bank, Dr. Baylee Blackburn of Barton Esthetic and Family Dentistry, and Laura Lee Cawood of Cawood Funeral Home.
Jimmy and Makenzie Corum accept the Small Business of the Year Award on behalf of Elevation Physical Therapy. Others nominated include: Long’s Pic Pac, Crater City Coffee, AB Esthetics, Barton Esthetic & Family Dentistry and Spero Health.
CEO Michael Slusher accepts the Business of the Year Award on behalf of Middlesboro ARH. Others nominated include: Green Construction, Walmart, Hearthside Bank, Redmond Auto Group and Blue Diamond Industries.

The Bell County Chamber of Commerce held its annual Awards Dinner on Friday, July 26, 2024 at Pine Mountain State Resort Park.
Chamber President Alex Gambrel presented the awards with the help of her fellow board members Vice President Rian Johnson, Janet Jackson, Mikey Long, Kevin Bisceglia, Chris Thompson, Sissy Bisceglia, Melanie Harris, Jennifer Williams, Chris Stotts, Johnna Callebs and Storme Neal.
Before presenting the awards, Gambrel took time to thank all of the sponsors who made Friday’s dinner possible:
