The 16th annual Fish Fest will be Saturday, April 13, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Middlesboro City Parking Lot.

County Attorney Chris Douglas is carrying on the tradition started by former County Attorney Neal Ward. Each year hundreds of rainbow trout are stocked into a portion of the canal that is netted off to keep them in place. Children 15 and under are allowed to fish for free with rods and reels and various baits available for them to use. Lunch is also provided by the Tri-State Veterans group.

The event is sponsored by the Bell County Fiscal Court, City of Middlesboro, Kentucky Department of Fish and Wildlife, A-1 Septic, and Tri-State Veterans.
