Bell County Dispatch responded to a serious accident involving a motorcycle and a passenger vehicle in Pineville on Dec. 19 at 6:16 p.m.

The sheriff’s department responded to the scene to render aid and begin an investigation.  Bell County Sgt. Frank Foster determined that the male driver of the motorcycle was traveling on Old Bell High Road when he lost control of the vehicle, it skidded on its side, and then collided with the passenger vehicle, catching fire.

The driver, 43-year-old Jamie Wilder of Pineville, was administered CPR on scene but due to the nature of his injuries, died shortly after the incident.  He was pronounced deceased by Bell County Deputy Coroner Jason Steele.

The 18-year-old female driver of the car was not injured nor directly involved in the crash itself.

Chief Deputy Jared Smith, Deputy Austin Poindexter, Chaplain Rick Dorton, and Deputy Samson Churchwell assisted.  Also on scene was Bell EMS, and Bell County Volunteer Fire Department.
