Danny “JoJo” Wilson, age 45, of Middlesboro, passed away unexpectedly on Dec. 13, 2023 at Middlesboro A.R.H. while surrounded by his family and friends.

He was born March 2, 1978 in Middlesboro to Joel Wilson (Lasley) and the late Joan Yeary. In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by many loved ones and friends, uncle Rick Sampson, uncle Carl Shackelford, Miss Judy, uncle Bobby Moore, Paul Collins, papaw Bill Jones, papaw Dallas Shackelford, Joe and Wilma Hensley, Billy Gordon, and many more that he loved so dearly.

JoJo loved hot rods and he enjoyed trading – an art he was always great at. No matter the item, JoJo loved to be around others more than the trade itself. A voice like an angel, JoJo was talented with the musical gift of singing. A huge heart, he would help anyone out at any time, especially those that he loved. Most of all though, he simply loved being a Dad. JoJo was a jack of all trades, yet a master of none. A great personality who loved to tease, his favorite saying was to always tell girls they “needed a yard rake for their hair”. JoJo had the ability to make his friends feel more like family, and he treated them that way too. JoJo’s love for others and his heart of gold will never be forgotten.
