Lady Jackets take three straight losses

After opening the season with a 47-32 win over Lynn Camp, the Middlesboro Lady Jackets have suffered three straight losses, including a 63-35 defeat at home on Monday against McCreary Central.

The Lady Dragons lost 57-48 on Thursday at Thomas Walker, Va., and fell 51-37 on Saturday at Shelby Valley.

Keevi Betts scored 16 and Morgan Martin added 12 in the loss to Thomas Walker. Millie Roberts and Trinity Partin each scored seven, while Jenna Baker had three, Emily Lambert scored two and Halaya Brown added one.

Betts poured in 21 against Shelby Valley. Martin tossed in eight, followed by Partin with six and Lambert with two,

Lambert scored 13 and Betts added 11 to lead the Lady Jackets. Trinity Partin chipped in with six. Lily Partin and Brown added two each. Roberts scored one.

Middlesboro (1-3) returns to action Dec. 12 at Wellsprings Guardians in Richmond.
