Rev. Charles “David” Cosby, age 73, of Harrogate, Tennessee, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, November 29, 2023, at his home. David was known for being a practical joker who loved to make others laugh, as well as known as “Duck” to his many coal mining friends. His true calling was spreading the Gospel, and he mentored dozens of young preachers, baptized dozens, held countless revivals, preached hundreds of sermons, all of which were his life’s joy during his over 50 years of preaching God’s Word. His heart’s desire was to see his family all saved, and his prayers for his family, friends, neighbors, and church could be heard echoing through the neighborhood. A faithful and life-long member of Red Hill Chapel Baptist Church, attending his church and enjoying his church family was his favorite past time.

David was proceeded in death by his loving wife of 48 years, Mary Sue Cosby; his parents Rev. Tilmon and Mary Cosby; brothers Denvil, Troy, Coy, Ronnie, Dennis, and Jimmy; sisters Marie, Wanda, Tootsie Jean, Maxine, Faye, and Patricia.
