Absentee voting now underway; June 15 is last day to request a ballot by mail

All absentee voting has been expanded to all voters due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The Bell County Board of Election will certify the absentee voting machine and begin absentee voting for the primary election on Monday, June 1, 2020, thru June 22, 2020. Any registered voter that needs to vote absentee may vote at the Bell County Courthouse in Pineville (Old Courthouse), Monday thru Saturday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. by appointment. If you utilize in-person voting please have your driver’s license ready and please wear a mask.

Any voter that would like to request an absentee by mail can complete a request form at GoVoteKY.com or contact the Clerk’s office. The last day to request a ballot by mail is June 15, 2020.

On Election Day, June 23, 2020, from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. a voting center will be set up at the Middlesboro Community Center, 705 N Petersborough Ave (30th Street), Middlesboro, KY 40965, for any registered voter that wishes to cast their ballot in person on Election Day. Please have your driver’s license ready and please wear a mask to speed up the voting process.

Pursuant to KRS 424.130(1) (D), the inspection of the Voting Machines will take place on Wednesday, June 17, 2020 at 10:00 am at the Bell County Road Department on Highway 119.
