Hall of Fame selections

Several local athletes were honored during ceremonies for the 13th Region Basketball Hall of Fame. Former Bell County standout Ben Madon and Pineville standout James David Strange were inducted Monday before the boys championship game Monday. Those added before the girls championship game Saturday included Pineville’s Chelsea Smith and former Pineville High School Principal Paula Goodin. Patti Myers Morris accepted the plaque for her daughter, Maci Morris, the 2015 Miss Basketball from Bell County who is currently playing professional basketball in Italy. Former Middlesboro boys coach Larry Tom Davis was also selected to the Hall of Fame.
