BARBOURVILLE — Union College is adding a chiropractic program to its growing list of pre-professional partnerships.
Union and Life University’s College of Chiropractic signed the agreement in early January. The accelerated chiropractic program, which combines a final year of undergraduate study with a first year of chiropractic school, allows eligible students to graduate faster and begin work in their field of study.
“Combining the final year of undergraduate school with a first year at Life allows students to obtain both degrees in six and a half years, instead of the traditional seven and a half,” said Rachel Gaynor, director of partnerships for Union College.
This is just the latest on a long list of partnerships that Gaynor has signed in the last fifteen months. Union currently has agreements with Chase Law School, Lincoln Memorial University Veterinary School, South College Pharmacy and University of Pikeville College of Optometry; with several more pending.
“Most of these schools hold seats for Union students that meet the requirements, which is a huge advantage when you are trying to get accepted into competitive programs,” said Gaynor.
