According to Elaine Bailey, Middlesboro ARH Community Relations and organizer of the Lunch & Learn series, women are encouraged to wear red and/or red accessories to support National Wear Red Day. “With heart disease being the number one killer of women in America, the goal is to create awareness within the community about the importance of women’s heart health,” stated Bailey.

Adult women of all ages are invited to the Lunch & Learn series. The lunch will be held in the hospital classroom, which is located near the MRI entrance at the back of the hospital. Lunch will be served at noon with the program starting by 12:15 p.m. and ending at 12:45 p.m. Lunch is free and there will be an opportunity to win a door prize.
