Bell County nearly knocked off one of the top rated teams in the 13th Region on Friday. In the opening round of the 2A sectional tournament, the Bobcats fell to the Panthers 66-61. With the exception of the sectional championship, it was the closet victory Knox Central has had all year.

For Bell County, it was a disappointing loss after defeating Williamsburg just three days earlier.

Cameron Burnett led the Bobcats shooting 72.7 percent from the field on his way to a game-high 18 points. He notched a double-double after hauling in 12 rebounds.
