A Nashville man was transported to the Bell County Detention Center on the charge of criminal attempt to commit murder last Thursday.
Chesley Miracle, 57, of Pineville, was entered into NCIC on Aug. 3 on the charges. Nashville Police picked up Miracle based on the NCIC information, and he waived his extradition back to Bell County.
According to Bell County Deputy Patrick Brooks, Miracle was intoxicated and arguing with Jessica Partin at a residence in Bell County when Partin was attempting to leave. As she attempted to leave, Miracle fired several rounds at her as she was walking away.
He is also charged with two counts of theft of a firearm, a pistol and a Glock .380, both belonging to Partin. He also has a failure to appear warrant for traffic offenses.
There is no bond set for the attempted murder charge.
