Celebrate the holiday season with the Bell County Historical Society and Museum during their annual open house on Dec. 12 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.

The Bell County Historical Museum will be decorated in the spirit of the holiday and historically inspired refreshments will be served. The community can expect a few surprises as well.

Carolers and musicians will perform traditional favorites, and Santa Clause is expected to attend and will be available for pictures.

The museum will be open for visitors to casually walk through and enjoy a festive mix of both modern and historic decorations.

Several local holiday treasures will be on exhibit for the guests to enjoy and learn about the holiday season in Bell County.

The event is free to the public and tickets are not required to attend but donations are appreciated.

A $1 donation enters individuals into a drawing for a Bell County Historical Society gift basket, and winners will be notified the following day.
