Lone Jack School Center, kindergarten- through fourth-grade, visited Hillview Stables Pumpkin Patch in London. Students enjoyed taking a hay ride to the pumpkin patch; running through the patch to find the perfect pumpkin to take home; petting and feeding more than 20 animals; milking “fake” cows; playing on “old-fashion” toys such as a haystack slide, where they slid down a hill on burlap sacks; playing in a corn shucking pit, and many other activities provided at the stables. The day was filled with fun educational opportunities for students to learn about life on a farm.
