“I’m happy with the way we played,” said Bell County coach Dudley Hilton. “Whitley County is a good team. To be able to go on the road and play as efficiently as we did and come out with a victory is good for momentum. We went up there a couple of years ago and they beat us. We looked good against them this time. We came out ready to go and played well in all three phases of the game.”

“Even though we are playing well right now, there are still some things that we need to work on,” said Hilton. “You can always improve in all phases of the game. If we want to go from a good team to a great team, we have a few things that we need to work on to get better. I am proud of the way we have played up to this point. We have been playing against 4A and 5A schools, and now we get to play against some that are the same size as us.”

After defeating the Colonels and moving to 4-0 on the season, the Bobcats open their district schedule against McCreary Central on the road on Friday night. McCreary Central is 0-4 on the season, including a season opening loss to Pineville 28-14.
