A Middlesboro High School football coach was recognized by the city of Middlesboro and Middlesboro Independent Schools Monday. Tom “Chalk” Stapleton was the head football coach for Middlesboro High School for 12 years and led the Yellow Jackets to an outstanding record of 94 wins. “For all these accomplishments during his time at Middlesboro High School, we wish to remember him,” Mayor Nelson said. “Coach Tom ‘Chalk’ Stapleton will continue to be recognized through Friday in Middlesboro.”
