Operation Unite Bell County met Friday afternoon at Sagebrush. The meeting continued even after the electricity went out throughout Middlesboro. The keynote speaker for the meeting was Dr. Vic Adams, President of Southeast Kentucky Community and Technical College. He introduced the record number group to several avenues the college is looking to assist with putting a stop to the ongoing opioid epidemic in the community. “We are doing everything we can to put an end to this,” he said. “Education is one way we can help and that’s what we are going to do.” More information on Dr. Adams presentation will be in Monday’s edition of the Middlesboro Daily News.
