Dinner will be served for students and parents in the Middlesboro Middle School cafeteria. Students will be able to get their schedules, see their classrooms, meet their teachers and check their lockers.

School supplies may also be dropped off during these times. Fifth- through eighth-grade families are invited to come out and get the school years started off together.

Pineville Independent Schools are also preparing for the start of the new school year. Their annual Back to School Bash will be held Monday from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.

This year, every elementary and middle school child will get a folder that will be taken home that includes paperwork inside. One set of paperwork will be returned back to the school with the student and the other set of paperwork will remain at home with the student.

The folders were provided by a company at no cost to the school, and local businesses also gave donations to make sure the costs were covered.

The Back to School Bach schedule includes:

For grades kindergarten through sixth grade:

• 5 p.m. to 6 p.m. — Meet your teachers and have supper in the cafeteria;

• 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. — Inflatables in the parking lot of First Baptist.
