LMU confers 571 degrees at spring commencement

Lincoln Memorial University (LMU) awarded 571 degrees during its spring commencement Exercises on May 4 in Tex Turner Arena on the main campus in Harrogate, Tenn. Noted Lincoln and Civil War historian Dr. Allen Guelzo delivered the commencement address and received the university’s highest honor, the Lincoln Diploma of Honor.

Among the graduates were:

Cole Atkinson, of Pineville, who graduated with a Bachelor of Science in psychology, counseling and practice track;

Benicia Buell-Barnett, of Pineville, who graduated magna cum laude with a Bachelor of Science in interdisciplinary studies in human learning and development (education);

Mariyah Brock, of Middlesboro, who graduated with a Associate of Science in nursing;

Evan Brock, of Pineville, who graduated cum laude with a Bachelor of Science in biology, pre-medicine track;

Melissa Carpenter, of Middlesboro, who graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in media communication;

Lucas Crawford, of Middlesboro, who graduated with a Bachelor of Science in special education, intervention track;

Katherine Dean, of Pineville, who graduated with a Bachelor of Science in veterinary health science;

John Green, of Pineville, who graduated with a Bachelor of Science in nursing;

Florence Hurst, of Pineville, who graduated with a Associate of Science in nursing;

Kira Johnson, of Pineville, who graduated magna cum laude with a Bachelor of Science in veterinary health science;

Erick Moberg, of Middlesboro, who graduated with a Master of Business Administration;

Jessie Moberg, of Middlesboro, who graduated with a Master of Business Administration;

Danielle Moyers, of Middlesboro, who graduated cum laude with a Bachelor of Science in interdisciplinary studies in human learning and development (education);

Amanda Parton, of Arjay, who graduated cum laude with a Bachelor of Science in biology, pre-medicine track;

Taylor Prater, of Middlesboro, who graduated with a Bachelor of Science in nursing;

Julie Rosenbalm, of Middlesboro, who graduated with a Bachelor of Science in nursing;

Kylie Watson, of Middlesboro, who graduated with a Master of Science in veterinary biomedical science; and

Hannah Wilford, of Middlesboro, who graduated cum laude with a Bachelor of Science in exercise science.
