Refreshments were available throughout the evening, and all players received tokens of appreciation for their participation.

The annual “SCRABBLE for Literacy” tournament is the major fundraiser for the BCCL. The BCCL, which was established in 1987, is a non-profit organization that provides Bell County residents who have low-level reading skills to receive tutoring and computer practice to increase their basic skill levels.

The organization assists in the cost of GED testing fees. For information about the BCCL programs, call 606 248-2014 or 606 248-3169. If no one is available to speak to you, feel free to leave a voice message and someone will return your call. Donations to fund the efforts of the BCCL are always accepted and appreciated.
