Middlesboro extends streak to three games

Two days after defeating Lynn Camp at home, the Middlesboro Yellow Jackets traveled to Williamsburg and downed the home team, 11-4. With the victory, Middlesboro extends their winning streak to three games. During their winning streak, Middlesboro has averaged 11.6 runs per game, while only allowing 2.3 runs per game.
Braden Ausmus led the Middlesboro offense with two RBI on one hit. Tyshawn Simpson added two hits with one RBI on two singles. Hegan Owens added one hit and an RBI for Middlesboro on a single. Connor Winterbarger and Stephen Justice added an RBI each, both with one hit for the game.
Collier Elkins started on the mound for Middlesboro, pitching six innings while allowing three runs (two earned) on four hits with four strikeouts and five walks. Justice took the mound in the seventh in relief of Elkins. He pitched one inning, allowing one run (one earned) in three hits with one strikeout and no walks.
With the win, Middlesboro extends their winning streak to three games and improves to 10-9 on the season. The Yellow Jackets face off against the McCreary Central Raiders on Saturday at 1:30 p.m. in Middlesboro.
