Union struck first in the top of the fourth as Daniel Neal grounded out but collected an RBI as Gaines scored for a 1-0 lead. The lead was short-lived as the Tigers scored six runs off three hits to grab a 6-1 cushion in the bottom of the fourth.

Ivan Objio doubled down the left-field line to start out the top of fifth, eventually scoring on an error to make it a 6-2 ball game. Campbellsville added another run off an RBI single making it 7-2 to finish out the bottom of the sixth.

In the final inning, Union rallied to cut the lead down to 7-4, as back-to-back singles from Shoop and Gaines put two runners across. But that was where the Bulldogs luck ran out to finish the game 7-4.

Grant Lohmeier closed out the game pitching three innings, allowing just one run on three hits striking out three batters.

Objio earned his second double of the season, going 1-for-2 from the plate, and one run scored.

Jake Mendoza collected his sixth and seventh stolen bases of the season.

Union returns back to Jerry Carey Stadium on Friday, as the team is set to host Milligan College for the final Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC) showdown. First pitch is set for 1 p.m.
