Harlan ARH Hospital is pleased to announce that Harlan ARH Wound Treatment Center is a recipient of RestorixHealth’s Center of Excellence award for the second time. Recipients of this award meet or exceed national wound care quality benchmarks over a three-month period.
“This accreditation reaffirms the quality of care that the Harlan ARH Wound Treatment Center provides its patients every day,” said Medical Director Jose Echeverria. “We are proud to be a recipient of an award that recognizes the hard work and dedication of our staff.”
RestorixHealth’s highest achievement, the Center of Excellence Award, distinguishes centers that have demonstrated exceptional success by meeting or exceeding clinical, operational and financial benchmarks in different categories, including healing outcomes and safety, along with a patient satisfaction rate of 95 percent or higher.
The Harlan ARH Wound Treatment Center is one of the top five percent centers that has achieved this designation for the fourth quarter of 2018. This is the center’s second award.
Tim H. Mills, a resident of Bell County and a patient at the Harlan ARH Wound Treatment Center, shared that the Center was very deserving of the award.
“I chose to come to the Harlan ARH Wound Treatment Center when my doctor said that I could lose my leg due to a serious wound,” said Mills. “That was three years ago, and I am happy to share that the hyperbaric treatments along with skin transplants at the center saved my leg.”
Regarding his care, Mills shared: “Not only have I received the best possible treatments available, the entire staff at the center are so kind and caring. They always made me feel comfortable and after numerous wound care appointments, they became a part of my extended family.
“The healing process takes time and I quickly learned that it’s a team effort. I have been blessed to have such a dedicated staff of doctors, nurses and technicians caring for me and even educating me on what I can do to assist with the healing process. If you or a loved one ever needs wound care, I highly recommend the staff at the Harlan ARH Wound Treatment Center.”
The Harlan ARH Wound Treatment Center is dedicated to optimizing outcomes and preventing lower limb loss in those patients with non-healing wounds.
