Aubrey Sowders, Lakyn King and Baylee Woody have been named to the 13th Region Academic All-Region team. Woody was also named to the 13th All-Region second team.

“I would like to congratulate these three young ladies on their accomplishments from this past season,” said coach Scott Overbay. “It is very hard to keep up with your school work through the season while playing multiple sports. These three did an outstanding job of keeping up their grades and earned the Academic All-Region Team award. As seniors, I could not ask for better leaders for my team. I will miss these girls very much.”

In 30 games this season, Woody averaged 12.7 points to lead the Lady Jackets. She also averaged 3.5 rebounds per game, which was tied for second best on the team.

In 22 games, Sowders averaged 3.7 points per game, fourth best on the team. She also averaged 2.3 rebounds per game this season. Sowders recently signed to play softball at the University of the Cumberlands.

In 23 games this season, King averaged 1.7 points per game and 3.3 rebounds per game. King suffered a season-ending ACL injury near the tail-end of the season but continued to support the Lady Jackets from the sidelines.
