Leadership is defined as the action of leading a group or an organization, and the Bell County Chamber of Commerce and Leadership Bell County want to spotlight the local leaders in the community.

The Young Leaders Series will introduce the community to the young leaders who are making an impact in their community through various opportunities and meeting the needs of their community.

Rayann Moyers Bisceglia, 24, is an example of a young local who is wants to give back to her community and is doing so by teaching at Middlesboro Elementary School.

Bisceglia attended Middlesboro High School and upon graduating attended Lincoln Memorial University, where she studied Elementary Education.

Her parents are Patty Capps and Danny Moyers, of Middlesboro.

Following her graduation from LMU, Bisceglia began her teaching career at Middlesboro Elementary School, where she teaches first grade.

“I have always known I’ve wanted to teach since I was a little girl, especially in my hometown,” she explained. “This community has truly blessed me with so many opportunities to get me where I am today. I want to be able to give back by doing the same for these kids.”

She is also an assistant basketball coach for Middlesboro High School and a coach with the Youth League Basketball.

“I want Middlesboro to be a place that the upcoming generations envision themselves staying or coming back to,” Bisceglia said. “I love this town and I have been blessed to have people supporting me to accomplish my goals here including my mother, teachers, coaches, and church members. I want to be that for the young people.”

She is a member and Children’s Church Teacher at Trinity Baptist Church.

“I want the kids to know that Middlesboro is a place where they can make their dreams and goals a reality,” Bisceglia said.
