Do you have outstanding library fines? Do you like to donate and make a difference in your community? If both of these sounds like you, now is the time to take care of those library fines and also make a donation to the Bell County Animal Shelter.

In honor of National Library Week from April 8 through April 13, Bell County libraries are accepting donations of pet food and pet supplies for credits that will go toward paying your library fines.

All donations made to the libraries will go to benefitting the Bell County Animal Shelter.

Donations are currently being accepted at the Middlesboro, Pineville, and the Bookmobile locations.

If you donate a small can of pet food, you get a $1 credit toward your fines. If you donate a large can of pet food, you will get $2 credit.

Larger bags of food and other needed pet items will be assigned a value at the discretion of the library staff.
