Hundreds of youth expected at 12th Annual Fish Fest

Numerous rainbow trout were released into the Middlesboro canal on Friday in preparation for the 12th Annual Fish Fest taking place on Saturday. Children 15 and under can fish for trout and other fish from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the city parking lot in Middlesboro.

Fish Fest is a free event for youth ages 15 years old and younger who want to fish for trout in the Middlesboro Saturday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Bell County Attorney Neil Ward started the event 12 years ago. Adults may accompany the youth anglers but they may not fish.
