The Jeep Crew organizes local cleanups

The Jeep Crew is planning a cleanup this Saturday around Cannon Creek Lake and will be leaving the Middlesboro Walmart parking lot at 11:30 a.m.

The Jeep Crew is a group of community members who joined together to clean up trails and mountain areas that have been neglected. Their most recent clean up ride was at the waterfall entrance of Tackett Creek.

Josh Sherman is the Cumberland Gap Chapter Leader, which represents Southeast, Ky.; Southwest, Va.; and the Cumberland Gap, Tenn. area.

“We just require that our members own a jeep and agree to our chapter policies,” he said. “The membership is free and includes all members of the registrant’s family.”
