The Middlesboro baseball team took to Myrtle Beach, S.C. this week on spring break to participate in the Cal Ripken Experience, which includes teams from Kentucky, Tennessee, Ohio and Pennsylvania.
The Yellow Jackets took on the Russell Red Devils in their first game.
Unable to find much offense, the Yellow Jackets were only able to come up with two runs against the Red Devils, while allowing nine runs in five innings, to lose their first game, 9-2.
In their second game of the event, the Yellow Jackets took on the Johnson Central Golden Eagles on Tuesday afternoon.
Much like their first game, the Yellow Jackets struggled to produce on the sticks, scoring only one run while allowing 12 from Johnson Central to lose their second-straight game, 12-1.
In their third game of the Cal Ripken Experience, the Jackets faced off against the Apollo Eagles on Wednesday.
The tale of the break for the Yellow Jackets is the lack of offensive productivity. Failing to muster more than three runs throughout any game of the break thus far, the Yellow Jackets dropped their third-straight game to the Apollo Eagles, 12-3.
