LMU Players to present ‘Almost, Maine’

HARROGATE, Tenn. — The Lincoln Memorial University (LMU) Paul V. Hamilton School of Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences and the LMU Players will present the spring production, “Almost, Maine,” April 5-13, in the Sam and Sue Mars Performing Arts Center of Duke Hall of Citizenship on the LMU main campus in Harrogate.
“Almost, Maine,” by John Cariani, consists of nine short plays that explore love and loss in the remote, mythical town of Almost, Maine. It premiered at the Portland Stage Company in Portland, Maine in 2004, where it broke box office records and garnered critical acclaim.
The curtain will raise at 7:30 p.m., Thursday, Friday and Saturday evenings for the first two weeks of April. Admission is free to LMU students, faculty and staff with an LMU ID and children under 12. Cast and crew members include LMU students Alexa Livesay (Harrogate, Tenn.), Anthony Palazzolo (New Tazewell, Tenn.),Brandon Burke (Cumberland Gap, Tenn.),Brett Fisher (Tazewell, Tenn.),Bridget LeBoeuf (Harrogate),Casey Lamont (Tazewell), Cynthia Redwine (Pigeon Forge, Tenn.),Emily Burke (South Bloomfield, Ohio) , Jackson Brantley (New Tazewell), Kat Mahoney (Bristol, Va.), Kendall Daniels (Powell, Tenn.),Laurana Duncan (New Tazewell), and Teddy Duncan (New Tazewell). Randy Rivera (Miami, Fla.) and Daniels are assistant directors.
LMU alumni cast members include Katie Chumley and Petchula Ford. Community cast members are Clayton Baker and Dustin Daniels. Assistant Professor of Theater Joe Gill is the producer and director.
