Pineville Elementary School held a banquet for the pre-k through third grade dance team at Pineville Elementary School on Monday afternoon. Along with having a dance party and snacks, each member of the team was awarded a trophy for their participation in this year’s dance team activities.
“It’s just so much fun,” said coach Amanda Phillips. “We have an absolute blast doing this. This is my first year helping with the dance team, and it has been some of the most fun I’ve ever had. Watching the girls have such a good time is an amazing feeling.”
“There’s not a whole lot for them to do during and after basketball season,” said second-year dance coach Kayla Messer. “After cheerleading is over, there’s really nothing else, so we decided to do dance. The girls love it, and we love it almost as much as they do. We always have a lot of fun. Last year, we had more than 40 kids in the program. It’s nice to see how much they all enjoy it.”
