The J. Frank White Academy on the main campus of Lincoln Memorial University in Harrogate, Tenn. is extending their curriculum and is now accepting applications for all grades for the 2019-2020 school year.
The Academy is known throughout the community for being a college preparatory school that is accredited by AdvancEd and offers small class sizes and access to LMU facilities and resources.
“The Academy has a tradition of preparing students for college and beyond,” said JFWA Interim Principal Bobby Lockhart. “We are proud that we can now offer our unique benefits to students from kindergarten through twelfth grade.”
Since the Academy’s founding in 1989, the Academy has held a 100 percent college placement rate.
JFWA will occupy two buildings following the completion of the renovations being made to Kresge Hall, which will accommodate kindergarten through third grade classrooms.
Once updated, Kresge Hall will include an all-purpose area with adjoining prep area to be utilized for lunches so the students do not have to leave the learning space throughout the day.
There will be additional outdoor play equipment that will be installed adjacent to the building. Traffic will be routed around the building for safe arrivals and dismissals.
“The elementary school curriculum will prepare students for educational opportunities in the future,” Lockhart said. “JFWA will carefully balance the rigorous demands of a college preparatory school curriculum with the unique needs of young learners, all in a safe and secure environment.”
