New Tazewell man arrested in Middlebsoro on drug charges

A New Tazewell man remains behind bars after he was arrested Monday night on charges of possessing methamphetamine and heroin in Middlesboro.

Middlesboro Police Sgt. Barry Cowan received information that Martin Lynn Bolden, 35, could be located between 41st and 42nd streets traveling on a Harley Davidson.

According to the arrest citation, Cowan drove to the area where he observed Bolden standing next to the Harley in a driveway. After speaking with Bolden, Cowan asked for consent to search the motorcycle. Bolden agreed and then told Cowan that he had hidden some meth in the pocket of his coat, according to the report.

Cowan reported finding a baggy of clear crystal substance believed to be methamphetamine and a baggy of a substance believed to be heroin.

Bolden was arrested and transported to the Bell County Detention Center where he remains with no bond. He is charged with possession of a controlled substance, first degree offense, methamphetamine, and possession of a controlled substance, first degree offense, heroin.
