FRANKFORT — Kentucky Retirement Systems (KRS) has announced the appointment of Rebecca Adkins as interim executive director, office of operations, effective Jan.16. Adkins replaces Karen Roggenkamp who has accepted a position as the deputy executive director of the School Employees Retirement System of Ohio. “For six years, Karen has been an extremely valuable contributor to our staff, the management team and the KRS Board. After several years working as a software developer in the private sector, Adkins returned to KRS in 2001 to provide technical and consulting expertise to the technology team in support of the legacy system and other initiatives. Beginning in 2012, Adkins held multiple managerial positions until becoming director of enterprise & technology services in 2017.
