First State Bank CEO and Chairman of the Board Katherine J. Reese has announced the promotion of Ken Jones to president. Jones will continue to serve in his position as chief operating officer as well.

Jones has over 42 years of banking experience, working in virtually every aspect of banking throughout his career.

In his new position, Jones will be responsible for the daily operations of the bank as well as serve on the Board of Directors.

He is an honors graduate of Stonier Graduate School of Banking at the University of Delaware and the University of Tennessee in Knoxville.

Jones currently resides in the Lone Mountain community in Tazewell, Tennessee where he enjoys sports with his son, Matt.
