A Pineville man remains in the Bell County Detention Center after he was arrested Saturday and accused of cutting a man in his jaw and neck.
Jeffrey Holland, 55, was arrested by Bell County Sheriff’s Deputy Justin Patterson at the home of Josh Caldwell after Caldwell’s girlfriend reported the incident.
Bell County Dispatch received a call at about 3 a.m. Saturday from Caldwell’s girlfriend stating that her boyfriend had been stabbed in the face.
Patterson and Bell County EMS responded to the home and found Caldwell suffering from a laceration to the jawline and neck. He could not be flown out because of bad weather conditions, so he was transported to Middlesboro ARH for treatment.
The cause of the incident remains under investigation by Patterson.
Holland remains behind bars with no bond. He is charged with assault in the first degree.
