To the editor:

In your article on Nov. 21 about the accomplishments of the Appalachia Narcotics Investigations, you noted that the organization is a multi-agency drug investigative unit which includes personnel from the Harlan County Sheriff’s Office, the Bell County Sheriff’s Office and the Pineville Police Department. With the enormous drug problem that Middlesboro has, why is the Middlesboro Police Department not a part of this effort?
