Mrs. Rebecca and Mrs. Leslie from the Bell County Extension Office visited Lone Jack School Center’s preschool and kindergarten classes in collaboration with the FRYSC’s coordinator, Sheila Fuson.

They conducted a program called What’s in your Dr.’s Bag. They read a story and did activities that correlated with the book. The ladies showed students examples of several instruments that a doctor would carry in his bag, including, stuffed blood pressure kits, tongue depressors, stethoscope, etc. Students recalled seeing some of these instruments when visiting the doctor.

The students were well mannered and paid close attention to the lesson and enjoyed getting to answer questions about the lesson. As a culmination activity, students participated in an art activity that correlated with the theme of the lesson.
