FRANKFORT — Leadership Kentucky, one of the oldest and most prestigious statewide leadership development programs in the United States, is now accepting nominations for the Leadership Kentucky class of 2019.
The Leadership Kentucky program is made up of seven two-day sessions where participants meet with many of Kentucky’s current leaders, network with other leaders while traveling the state and exploring the state’s opportunities and challenges.
The class of 2019 will begin with an orientation session in June at the historic Boone Tavern in Berea. From there, students will travel across the state to Louisville, Western Kentucky, Somerset, Bowling Green-Ft. Campbell, Eastern Kentucky, Frankfort and Lexington. The sessions will cover topics ranging from business and economic development, arts and tourism, natural resources and the environment, education and healthcare, agriculture and government.
If you or someone you know is interested in being a member of the Leadership Kentucky Class of 2019, the participant must first be nominated. If selected, nominees will receive full application instructions via email beginning Nov. 1. If you would like to nominate a friend or colleague, nomination forms are available online at leadershipky.org.
Leadership Kentucky, created in 1984 as a non-profit educational organization, brings together a selected group of people that possess a broad variety of leadership abilities, career accomplishments, and volunteer activities to gain insight into complex issues facing the state. The Leadership Kentucky Foundation offers three unique programs: Leadership Kentucky, Elevate Kentucky (for young professionals), and New Executives to Kentucky, (for senior level executives who have lived in the state for less than two years).
