Pictured with students are lodge members Don Sowder, Bill Sowder and Brian Alexander. Other members who helped distribute the dictionaries were Gary Mayes and David Evans.
Powell Valley Elementary School grades third, fifth, and seventh received their very own set of dictionaries to be used in class studies and lessons.
The gift was made possible by Powell Valley Lodge No. 488 F&AM, which is located in Speedwell.
This marks the second year the Lodge has sponsored the dictionary project and it is a project that is received well by the students, the school faculty, as well as the community.
Lodge members Don Sowder, Bill Sowder, and Brian Alexander presented the dictionaries to the students and Gary Mayes and David Evans assisted in distributing them to the individual grades.
The Masonic Lodge is a charitable organization that promotes good morals, good character, charity work and good educational experiences for all citizens of society.
