Bishop receives promotion

CAMPBELLSVILLE — Ricky Sparkman, South Central Region President of Community Trust Bank, is pleased to announce that Charles “Buddy” Bishop is a vice president, commercial loan officer in the Community Trust Bank Middlesboro market.

Bishop’s responsibilities include providing commercial lending options to new and existing client relationships by offering financial solutions to individuals and businesses in Middlesboro, Kentucky and adjacent counties in Kentucky and Tennessee. His office is located at 1918 Cumberland Avenue in Middlesboro, Kentucky.

Bishop has been in banking for more than 25 years. He has held positions as a loan review officer, loan compliance officer, lender, commercial lender, commercial loan administrator, SBA loan officer, and most recently as a senior vice president/senior loan officer.

Bishop graduated from Pineville High School. He earned a Bachelor’s degree in business administration, investment finance, from Eastern Kentucky University. He completed the Kentucky General School of Banking, ABA Graduate School of Banking at Colorado, ABA National Compliance School, and the ABA National Graduate School of Compliance Management.

Bishop is a trustee at Our Father’s House Church in Pineville, member of Three Corners Trail Committee, treasurer of Kentucky Mountain Laurel Foundation Inc., past general chair of Kentucky Mountain Laurel Festival, past board member of the Bell County Chamber of Commerce, and served on the board of directors of Henderson Settlement for six years. He resides in Pineville.
