HARROGATE, Tenn. — The J. Frank White Academy (JFWA), located on the campus of Lincoln Memorial University (LMU), will host Preview Day on Aug. 7. Prospective students and parents can visit and experience a day at the private, college preparatory school.

The Preview Day schedule includes a morning information session, a class preview and lunch for prospective students in the University dining hall. Parents can meet with school administrators and teachers to learn about the program of study.

JFWA serves fourth- through 12th-grades and is AdvancED accredited. Students benefit from small class sizes, a safe environment, caring faculty and staff and access to university facilities.

JFWA received an exceptional report from AdvancED officials who reviewed the school for accreditation renewal in 2017. JFWA has maintained accreditation since its establishment in 1989. The accrediting body, AdvancED, is a non-profit, non-partisan organization that conducts rigorous, on-site reviews of a variety of educational institutions and systems to ensure that all learners realize their full potential.

Tuition at JFWA includes lunches in the University dining hall, iPad or other personal tablet leasing and up to 30 credit hours of college coursework for junior and senior level students who meet requirements. Tuition rates are tiered by grade level and monthly payment plans are available. After-school enrichment is also available for an additional fee. Along with the excellent curriculum, JFWA offers a full range of athletic programs, extracurricular organizations and opportunities for educational travel experiences. JFWA also offers the flexibility of part-time programs with tuition calculated per course credit.

Located in Farr-Chinnock Hall, JFWA classrooms are state-of-the-art and equipped with advanced learning technology. Designated online learning days enable the students to continue lessons at home when weather disrupts travel. A modified block schedule affords students more time for science labs and other complex subjects.
