Made possible by a grant from their parent organization’s Elks National Foundation, Middlesboro Lodge No.119 of the Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks recently made their annual contribution of $250 to Bell County 4-H to help send children ages 9 to 14 to 4-H camp held yearly at J.M. Feltner Memorial Camp near London.

Held each year In June the camp provides many opportunities for positive youth development for campers. Camp builds independence and self-esteem in youth, helping them gain responsibility, team working skills and a true sense of belonging during their week at camp.

This year there are openings for 51 children from Bell County, but many 4-H’ers families are unable to pay the full camp fee, so individuals and groups such as the Elks are needed each year to help support the program.
