The Lone Jack School Center FRYSC scheduled Christy Blevins from the Bell County Extension office to present a program for first- through third-graders. She conducted a program called Organwise, which teaches children about all the different organs in the body. The lesson taught students how to take care of their bodies, beginning at an early age, so they don’t have problems when they get older. Blevins served popcorn, without salt and butter, to the students, teaching them about eating healthy. She played a musical CD to get students up and moving to burn energy off, using dancing as exercise.
