Being recognized for the work you accomplish is always a great feeling, especially when it’s on a grand scale. Middlesboro’s own JCPenney store, and more specifically, the store manager Carolyn Reed, were recently recognized for their hard work.
According to an official press release, Reed was honored with the Founder’s Award at a special event held on April 5 in Texas at the Gaylord Texan Resort and Convention Center, where much of the company’s top brass was present. JCPenney has more than 870 locations around the nation, and Reed was one of over 90 store managers and leaders honored for a wonderful performance in 2017.
The Founder’s Award is given to both general and district managers for being at the head of a team that delivers first rate results in financial performance, customer service, client service and all around business expertise.
“We are proud of our dedicated associates at JCPenney in the Middlesboro Mall who received this special recognition,” said the release. “The Founder’s Award is the company’s highest honor, recognizing top-performing leaders that significantly contribute to the success of JCPenney and provide customers with an unmatched shopping experience. We look forward to another exceptional year serving the customers in Middlesboro.”
Reed stated, “It was a great honor and a real team effort.”
She has been the manager for the JCPenney in Middlesboro since July 2017.
