Annual Woman to Woman Conference slated

April 22 marks the 23rd Annual Woman to Woman Conference at Binghamtown Baptist Church in Middlesboro.

The conference will be led this year by Lois Jane Wallace, who has entered her 38th year in Christian ministry. Wallace has had a storied career in the music industry. According to her official website, she was born in Pine Knot and began singing at the age of three years old. At 16, she signed a singing contract in Nashville. During her singing career, Wallace has shared the stage with performers such The Oak Ridge Boys, Merle Haggard, Jerry Lee Lewis and Dolly Parton.

Wallace’s forte is gospel music, and her passion for the music has produced more than 25 records during her career. Her acclaim has secured her two nominations for Dove gospel awards, and she has performed on The 700 Club. Her career has even taken her on tour overseas to England and Wales.

The Woman to Woman Conference begins at 8 a.m. with a breakfast provided for all attendees. An hour later, there will be introductions, singing, special music and the first conference session with Wallace. The theme of the first session is Remembering the Past – Mountain Highs and Valley Lows.

After the first session a short break is scheduled that will give attendees a chance to visit the bookstore, listen to special music and receive door prizes. After the break, the second session will commence with Wallace. The theme is Remembering the Past – How We Respond When Our Faith is Challenged and Remembering Our Future – How to Approach an Uncertain Future with Hope.

The conference will then break for a special luncheon.
