John Boley with the Elgin Dental Foundation visited Lone Jack School Center with a Elgin Dental program.

Boley presented two separate programs — kindergarten- through fourth-grades with 81 students.

Keeping the attention of smaller children, he did a wonderful job teaching them the importance of taking care of their teeth at a young age.

He also presented a program with the fifth- through eighth-grades, in which there were 73 students.

With their upmost attention and watching videos of how your teeth decays if not taken care of properly, Boley demonstrated the importance of good dental healthcare.

He also taught the students about what they were eating was affecting their teeth and health now, getting a grip on a more healthier diet could help them have a longer life and more beautiful teeth.

Students learned they needed to brush at least two times a day, all three sides of the teeth and the flat surface to ensure they didn’t get cavities in their teeth.

FRYSC is available at the school on a daily basis if the students have problems with their teeth or simply just need toothpaste or a toothbrush.
